The artwork is a vertical row of LED lights that are flashing very fast. When one shakes one’s head these flashes ‘print’ text onto one’s retina in such a way that a word can be briefly legible. This works subliminally if one is not aware of the work. As one shakes one’s head the word flips around as a mirror-image of itself so that in this case the word OBEY turns into YEBO depending on the direction of the head-shake.
